I am a mixed-methods social scientist with a primary focus on qualitative methods. My research is centred around the evaluation of complex social interventions and is underpinned by realist assumptions that researchers need to unpick for whom, under what circumstance, and via which mechanisms interventions or policies led to change. This focus on realism and evaluation enables me to work across a wide range of topics, including vaccine deployment, unintended pregnancy, bullying, and food policy.
Emily enjoys hanging out with family and friends, baking desserts, eating pasta, reading and pretending I know how to garden.
